Import Analysis Result

Analysis results of other structural analysis programs can be imported and checked in the post-processing of midas Civil.

1. Prepare the model data in the MCT file type, which is imported by File>>Import>>midas Civil MCT File.

2. Click to save the file in the 'fn.mcb' file type.

3. Prepare the analysis results in the 'fn.sar' file type, which is subsequently imported. The file extension does not have to be 'sar' at this time. As long as the format of preparation is identical, a text file type can be imported as well.

From the Main Menu select Analysis > Perform  > Import Analysis Result

How to prepare a 'fn.sar' file

1. * : Command

2. ** : Comments

3. UNITSYS, which defines the unit system, among all the commands must be positioned at the beginning of the file.

4. Among all the commands, ENDDATA must be present at the end of the file.

5. All other commands may be input without any particular order.

6. Commands and input data are separated by commas (,) or separate lines.

7. Member forces of the result data are input based on the element coordinate system.

8. Plane Strain and Axisymmetric elements cannot be used with other types of elements.
