Enter the parameters for calculation of deck overhang load. Lateral bending stress calculated from the deck overhang loads are applicable for top flange of tub section and top and bottom flange of I section. Lateral bending stress calculated from deck overhang loads is used in Constructibility check only. |

From the Main Menu select Design > Composite Design > Deck Overhang Loads |

Firstly, select the members in the model and enter the following:
Distributed Force: Enter the unfactored distributed force, F. The program considers load factor of before composite dead load automatically. Note where, Fl = F tan α Ml = FlLb2/12 Concentrated Force: Enter the unfactored concentrated force, P. The program considers load factor of before composite dead load automatically. Note where, Pl = P tan α Ml = FlLb/8 Eccentricity of Overhang Loads: Enter the eccentricity of deck overhang loads, e. Note Click Apply to assign. |
