FCM Camber Control

In order to produce the camber output specify the structure groups to which the main girders, supports and Key Seg. elements are assigned. The output entities must be assigned to groups prior to checking the FCM Camber Graph. The necessary element groups are automatically generated if "FCM Bridge Wizard" is used.

From the Main Menu select Results > Bridge > Camber/Reaction > FCM Camber > FCM Camber Control.

Bridge Girder Element Group

To generate the Camber Control Graph select the element group to which the main girders are assigned. Where "FCM Bridge Wizard" is used, select the auto-generated element group titled "Body Elem Group". If the Wizard is not used, assign all the elements (main girders) to a group.

Support Node Group

To generate the Camber Control Graph select the Support Node Group to which the nodes pertaining to the supports for the bridge girders are assigned. Where "FCM Bridge Wizard" is used, select the auto-generated structure group titled "Support Node Group". If the Wizard is not used, assign all the support nodes at the locations of buttresses and piers to a group. The cambers produced in the Camber Control Graph represent the relative displacements to these nodes in the Z-axis direction.

Key-Segment Elem. Group

To generate the Camber Control Graph select the element group to which the Key Segments are assigned. Where "FCM Bridge Wizard" is used, select the auto-generated element group titled "Key Seg Group". If the Wizard is not used, assign all the Key Segments to a group.
