PSC Design Result Diagram

Check the PSC design result diagrams in contours. Design member forces, nominal strength, and strength ratios are provided.

From the Main Menu select Design > PSC Design Results > PSC Result Diagram.

   Load Cases/Combinations

ALL COMBINATION: The program finds design forces considering all the load combinations.

Click  to the right to enter, add or modify load combinations (refer to Load Cases/Combinations).

  Option

Force: Display design member force diagrams and strength diagrams.

Stress: Display design member stress diagrams and allowable stress diagrams.

Safety Factor: Display the ratio diagrams of the design member forces to the strengths.

Criteria Line: Display the reference line for comparing with the Safety Factor diagram.

  Components

Flexure-y: Check flexural strength

Shear: Check shear strength

Torsion (Vmx): Check torsional strength at the maximum shear force

Torsion (Tmx): Check torsional strength at the maximum torsional moment

Part: Select the girder/Slab in composite section elements, Only Girder can has a stress value in PSC Box elements

Stress for Construction Stage: Display the maximum stresses at construction stage

Stress for Service Load: Display the maximum stresses at service load cases

Top: Maximum combined stresses at top fiber of Part(Girder/Slab)

Bottom: Maximum combined stresses at bottom fiber of Part(Girder/Slab)

1/2/3/4: Maximum combined stresses at each position of Part(Girder/Slab)

Comp.: Compression stress, Tens.: Tension stress

  Diagram Options

Scale Factor: Magnify or reduce the size of the diagrams graphically displayed in the model window.

Fill Type

No: Display only the outline representing the magnitudes of the diagrams.

Line: Display the distribution diagram with color lines.

Solid: Display the distribution diagram with color surfaces.

Direction

Global: Produce the diagrams in the Global Coordinate System.(X,Y,Z)

Local: Produce the diagrams in the element Local Coordinate System.[Major (Strong axis), Minor (Weak axis)]

Type of Display

Define the type of display as follows:

Value Output Location

Assign the section locations at which the values are produced in numerical values.

I: Display the value at the start node of a PSC beam element.

Center: Display the value at the center of a PSC beam element.

J: Display the value at the end node of a PSC beam element.

Abs Max: Maximum absolute values among the 5 points of (4-sectioned) PSC beam elements are displayed at the centers of the PSC beam elements.

Min/Max: Minimum and maximum values are numerically displayed at the corresponding locations among the 5 points of (4-sectioned) PSC beam elements.

All: The values at the i-end, center and j-end are numerically displayed.

Note:

Like all other checks, strength is also calculated at i and j-end only and then interpolated linearly.
