Reaction by Position Table (Global)

In the case of a bridge constructed by the ILM, the reactions in GCS are produced according to the change of construction stages at the piers and buttresses in the table of the Spread Sheet format. The locations (nodes) of the reaction points for each construction stage must be defined in Reaction by Position Data. If the ILM Wizard is used, the program internally generates them automatically.

Table Tool in midas Civil offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to the following items for detail directions:

From the Main Menu select Results >  Bridge > Camber/Reaction >  ILM Reactions > Reaction by Position Tables (Global).

Select the load cases for which the reactions will be reviewed in Record Activation Dialog. The loading conditions suggested in the process of checking the results of the construction stage analysis for each stage are automatically generated in the program. (Refer to Combinations)

Stage: Construction stage

Step: Sub-stages (steps within each stage)

Load: Loading condition

Node: Node number corresponding to each pier or buttress in the corresponding construction stage (entered in Reaction by Position Data)

FX, FY, FZ, MX, MY, MZ: Reaction components

min: Minimum reaction among the reactions at the corresponding pier or buttress resulting from each construction stage

max: Maximum reaction among the reactions at the corresponding pier or buttress resulting from each construction stage
