Tendon Stress Limit Check

Check the tendon stress limits as per AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications (2006) in a spreadsheet table format.

Table Tool in midas Civil offers a variety of powerful, built-in functions. Refer to Usage of Table Tool for detail directions:

From the Main Menu select Result > Result Tables > Tendon > Tendon Stress Limit Check

Select elements and enter the factors for the Tendon Stress Limits.

At anch.: Factor for stress limits at anchorages immediately after anchor set (only for post-tensioning)

Away from anch.: Factor for stress limits elsewhere along the length of the member, away from anchorages, immediately after anchor set (only for post-tensioning)

At service: Factor for stress limits at the service limit state, after losses

Refer to Usage of Table Tool and check the following data:

Tendon: Tendon name

Tendon Stress

f_p1 (N/mm2): Maximum stress in tendon at both anchorages immediately after anchor set (only for post-tensioning)

f_p2 (N/mm2): Maximum stress in tendon along the length of the member away from the anchorages immediately after anchor set (only for post-tensioning)

f_pe (N/mm2): Maximum stress in tendon after all losses, which is obtained at the last construction stage

Tendon Stress Limit

Immediately after anchor set

At anch.: Stress limits for prestressing tendons at anchorages immediately after anchor set

Away from anch.: Stress limits for prestressing tendons elsewhere along the length of the member away from anchorages immediately after anchor set

At service: Stress limits for prestressing tendons at the service limit state, after losses
