Short/Long Term Load Case

Load cases will be classified into Short-term and Long-term type in order to apply a proper allowable stress limit. When a load combination is composed of long-term load cases only, allowable stress limit for long-term load is applied. When a load combination is composed of both long-term and short-term load cases, allowable stress limit for short-term load is applied.

Note

This function is only active for Eurocode 2, IS:800-1984 and IRC:24-2010.

From the Main Menu select Design > Common Parameter > Short/Long Term Load Case.

Load cases will be classified into Short-term and Long-term type, and they will be automatically classified when using Auto-generation.
