Design Code

Determine the applicable design code and the applicability of special provisions for seismic design for the design of or the strength verification for RC members.

From the Main Menu select Design > RC Design  > Design Code.

The following dialog box is used to enter the data:

Design Code

RC design code [Default = AASHTO-LRFD 17] (refer to Note 1)

Apply Special Provisions for Seismic Design

Option to apply the special provisions for seismic design

Consider Axial-Moment Interaction for Plate Column

P-M Interaction can be considered as an option for the Plate Column Design and Checking and the P-M Interaction Curve can be obtained from graphic design result. This feature supports only  AASHTO-LRFD and Eurocode.

: Enter the selection and close the dialog box.

: Do not enter the selection and close the dialog box.

Note 1
If the user omits the design code,
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, Section 5 - Concrete Structures, 2017 (AASHTO-LRFD 17) is applied by default.

The available RC design codes are as follows:

- AASHTO-LRFD 17 : AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 8th edition, 2017

- AASHTO-LRFD 16 : AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 2016

- AASHTO-LRFD 12 : AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 2012

- AASHTO-LRFD 02 : AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications 2002

- AASHTO-LFD 96 : AASHTO LFD Bridge Design Specifications 1996
