Design Criteria for Rebars

Enter the standard sizes of rebars used in the shell design.

From the Main Menu select Design > Meshed Design > Design Criteria for Rebars

 For Shell Design

Enter the standard rebar sizes, the spacing of rebars and covers used in the shell design.

Dir. 1: Cover thickness of direction 1 Rebar for top and bottom layer

Dir. 2: Cover thickness of direction 2 Rebars for top and bottom layer

Consider Iteration for Optimal Design

If you Check off the option, the default thickness of each outer layers is applied as the 20% of element thickness. If you Check on the option, the layer thickness is determined by the program to provide optimum design results.

Consider Iteration for Optimal Design = Check off

Top Layer Thickness: Enter the thickness of top layer. Two times of cove to rebar center is recommended.

Bottom Layer Thickness: Enter the thickness of bottom layer. Two times of cove to rebar center is recommended.

Consider Iteration for Optimal Design = Check on

Limit Thickness of Top Layer: Enter the maximum thickness of top layer.

Limit Thickness of Bottom Layer: Enter the maximum thickness of bottom layer.

Number of Iteration: Enter the maximum number of iterations.

Convergence Tolerance: Enter the Convergence Tolerance value.
