Partial Safety Factors for Material Properties

Determine the applicable design code and the applicability of special provisions for seismic design for the design of or the strength verification for RC members.

From the Main Menu select Design > RC Design  > Design Code.

The following dialog box is used to enter the data:

Design Code

RC design code [Default = AASHTO-LRFD02] (refer to Note 1)

Apply Special Provisions for Seismic Design

Option to apply the special provisions for seismic design

: Enter the selection and close the dialog box.

: Do not enter the selection and close the dialog box.

Note 1
If the user omits the design code,
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, Section 5 - Concrete Structures, 2016 (AASHTO-LRFD 16) is applied by default.

The available RC design codes are as follows:

-  European Standard EN 1992-2:2005

-Three National Annexes are provided:

 Recommended

 British

 Italy

-Strut Angle for Shear Resistance: Value from range 21.8 to 45 degrees are accepted.
