Mode

midas Civil classifies the operating environment into Preprocessing Mode and Post-processing Mode.

The division of the modes serves as a safety feature that prevents loss of analysis and design results subsequent to any change of modeling data. Accordingly, the user is required to enter and modify all the modeling data in Preprocessing Mode only. All the tasks related to verification of the model analysis results such as reactions, displacements, element forces and stresses, or all the design related tasks must be carried out in the Post-processing Mode.

The Mode command converts one mode into the other.

If the analysis is successfully completed without errors, the Preprocessing Mode is switched automatically to the Post-processing Mode.
