Import AutoCAD DXF

Import AutoCAD DXF Files to generate the section shape and rebars.

From the Main Menu select Model > Import AutoCAD DXF file.

DXF file Name

Click and select the dxf file to be imported.

Select Layer

All Layers: All the layers in the dxf file are shown in the list.

Shape Layer: Select the layer for the cross-section shape.

Rebar Layer: Select the layer for the rebars in RC section.

Static

Material: Specify the material for the selected Shape Layer.  

Rebar Dia: Specify the rebar diameter for the selected Rebar Layer.

Tolerance

Merge Nodes: Merge all the nodes within the distance defined by the tolerance.

Scale and Origin

Scale Factor: Magnify or reduce the cross-section size displayed in the model view.

Origin-X: Enter the coordinate of X-axis in the dxf file to be set as an origin point in the Y-axis of GSD Work window.

Origin-Y: Enter the coordinate of Y-axis in the dxf file to be set as an origin point in the Z-axis of GSD Work window.

Note

This function is useful when importing the sections that have been drawn far from origin point in the dxf file.
