Element : Create Ground Surface Spring

Function

The boundary elements are generated automatically for dynamic analysis.

Call

Main Menu : Model > Element > Create Ground Surface Spring...

<Create Ground Surface Spring>

Select Mesh Set

              Select mesh sets which the boundary elements will be generated. When your select mesh sets, the boundary elements will

              be generated automatically on selected mesh sets. The spring coefficients will be generated differently according to the ground             

              material properties.
 

Ground Surface Spring

                         Modulus of subgrade Reaction

                              Select in case of generating the elastic boundary element.

                                        Modulus of eleasticity coeff.α

                                         The coefficient for the estimated elastic modulus.

                         Damping constant/Area

                               Select in case of generating the damping boundary element.

                         Mesh Set

Fixed Bottom Condition

              Select in case of generating the fixed boundary element on the bottom.

BC Set

             Select a boundary set in which the specified boundary condition wil be included. Click on the right to prompt the define boundary

             set dialog box to add, modify or delete boundary sets. If the user types the name of boundary set directly in the entry box, GTS will           

             automatically create the relevant boundary set.
