Thickness Table


Enter or modify thickness data of planar elements (Plane Stress Element, Plate Element) in a spreadsheet format Table.

Table Tool in MIDAS/Gen offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to the following items for detail directions:

From the Main Menu select Model > Properties > Thickness Table.

Select Tables > Structure Tables > Property > Thickness in the Tables tab of the Tree Menu.

Shortcut key : [Ctrl]+[Alt]+T


Refer to Usage of Table Tool and enter or modify the following data:

 

ID: Thickness type number

Type: Unstiffened or Stiffened plate type

In = Out: Enter 'Yes' when the in-plane and out-of-plane stiffness are based on the same thickness

Thick - In: Thickness for in-plane stiffness calculation

Thick - Out: Thickness for out-of-plane stiffness calculation

Offset : Offset of a plate section

Offset  Type : Offset type (Ratio/ Value)

Offset  Ratio : Ratio of the offset distance to the plate thickness

Offset  Value : Offset distance entered by the user directly
