Event Time
|
|
|
Times at which yielding takes place in the members defined with inelastic hinges are produced in a table.
Table Tool in midas Gen offers a variety of powerful built-in functions. Refer to Usage of Table Tool for detail directions: |
|
|
|
From the Main Menu select Results > Tables > Result Tables > Inelastic Hinges > Event Time |
|
|
Upon executing the Event Time function, Records Activation Dialog prompts. Click after selecting nodes and elements, load cases, eigenmodes, etc. for which the results are to be produced.
Note Refer to Results Table of "Usage of Table Tool" for the usage of Records Activation Dialog.
Refer to Usage of Table Tool and check the following data:
Elem: Element Number
Hinge Location: Locations where inelastic hinges are assigned. For Lumped Type, it displays as i, j, i & j, FX. For Distributed Type, it displays according to the number of hinges.
Load: Time History Load
DOF: Degree of freedom
1st Yield
Dx: Time at which the Dx component reaches the state of cracking
Dy: Time at which the Dy component reaches the state of cracking
Dz: Time at which the Dz component reaches the state of cracking
Rx: Time at which the Rx component reaches the state of cracking
Ry: Time at which the Ry component reaches the state of cracking
Rz: Time at which the Rz component reaches the state of cracking
2nd Yield
Dx: Time at which the Dx component reaches the state of yielding
Dy: Time at which the Dy component reaches the state of yielding
Dz: Time at which the Dz component reaches the state of yielding
Rx: Time at which the Rx component reaches the state of yielding
Ry: Time at which the Ry component reaches the state of yielding
Rz: Time at which the Rz component reaches the state of yielding
3rd Yield
Dx: Time at which the Dx component reaches the ultimate state
Dy: Time at which the Dy component reaches the ultimate state
Dz: Time at which the Dz component reaches the ultimate state
Rx: Time at which the Rx component reaches the ultimate state
Ry: Time at which the Ry component reaches the ultimate state
Rz: Time at which the Rz component reaches the ultimate state
Note It produces the time at which the third yielding is reached in Tetralinear.
Note If the time is indicated as 0, it means that the state of yielding was never reached. In case of base isolator devices, Event Time is always indicated as 0 regardless of the state of yielding, due to the characteristics of the elements.
