1D Consolidation Analysiss

Consolidation Time

Ending time of consolidation settlement.

Maximum Calculation Days

Specify the final day of the consolidation settlement calculation (from the day 0).

Settlement Calculation Method

Set the method of constructing the Time vs. Settlement curve for staged loading.

Total Load Method

Time-Settlement calculation based on the accumulated load of each Construction Stage.

Individual Load Method

Time-Settlement calculation based on the net load of each Construction Stage and the settlement curve is accumulated.

Load Increment Calculation Method in Soft Ground

Set the method of calculating the increase in effective vertical stress in ground layers due to loading on the ground surface.

Middle of Strata

The increase in effective vertical stress at the center of each soft ground layer is calculated with the average value.

Simpson Method

The increase in effective vertical stresses at the top, middle and bottom parts of each layer is calculated as an average at the center of each layer by the Simpson method.

Consideration of Depth (z) to Calculate Increase in Load

Select the method of calculating the increase in in-ground stress due to embankment load.

Change with Depth (Z)

Calculate the increase in in-ground stress relative to the underside of the embankment. In case of staged banking, the calculation position (loading distance) of the ground layer from the underside of embankment changes with the Construction Stages.

Fixed Depth (Z)

Calculate the increase in in-ground stress from the original ground. In case of staged banking, in-ground stress is calculated on the basis of a constant loading distance irrespective of Construction Stages.

Consolidation Option

Specify the details for consolidation settlement calculation.

Reference Cv

Specify the Cv (Consolidation Coefficient), which will be applied to the converted soft ground, representative of multiple soft ground layers.

Top-Bottom Average

Use the average of the Cv of the soft ground layer composing the converted layer.

Top of Strata

Use the Cv of the top part of the soft ground layer composing the converted layer.

Bottom of Strata

Use the Cv of the bottom part of the soft ground layer composing the converted layer.

Consider Non-Consolidation Layer for Converted Layer

Select whether or not to include the unconsolidated clay layer (exceeding the soft ground standard) which exists in multiple clay layers in the settlement calculation with the converted layers.

Consider Reduced Settlement due to SCP/GCP

Select whether or not to consider the effect of reduced settlement due to soft ground improvement methods, SCP or GCP, for settlement calculation. If considered, the total settlement will be less than that of without the improvement.

Settlement Calculation for Secondary Consolidation

Select whether or not to calculate the secondary consolidation settlement of the soft clay layer.

Condition for Judging Soft Ground

Set the standard for classifying whether or not each ground layer composing the original ground is soft ground.

SPT N-value for Clayey Soil

Standard for classifying soft ground for clay.

SPT N-value of Sandy Soil

Standard for classifying soft ground for sand.

Consider Vertical/Horizontal Simultaneously

Select whether or not to simultaneously consider both vertical and horizontal drainage directions for calculating the degree of consolidation, when drainage is installed.

Initial Water Level

Enter the underground water level condition. A function created by a basic function or the Water Level Function can be specified.
