Member Assignment

 

 

 

In the continuous beams, identical rebar can be assigned to the beam elements connected at a joint for considering contractibility.

 

 

 

From the Main Menu select Design > General Design Parameter > Member Assignment.

From the Menu tab of the Tree Menu select Design > General Design Parameter > Member Assignment.

Add/Replace: A new elements an be defined or an existing element can be revised to assign same beam rebar at joints.

 

Delete: Assigned data can be deleted. You may either select the elements to be deleted from the model window or the Element List window.

All: All is selected if all the elements are to be assigned as Same Beam Rebar at Joints.

 

By Selection: Same Beam Rebar at Joints is assigned to selected elements.

All: All is selected if all the elements are to be assigned regardless of the angle between two beam elements.

 

Straight Line: Same Beam Rebar is assigned to the continuous beam elements in a straight line.

 

 

Note 1
When a number of elements are assigned a single Member using Member Assignment, the corresponding elements are displayed with " * " mark in the Element List window (ex. 14*).

Note 2
This function is applicable in the following conditions:

- Material type: Concrete

- Element type: General beam element

- Member Type: Beam type

- Identical section property

- Design Criteria for Rebars by Member should not be defined.
