Define Crane Girder

Define crane girder by selecting beam member.

< Define Crane Girder Dialog >

 

 

Name : Define the name of crane.

Type : Select the type of crane girder.

Composite Crane Girder : Crane girder for detail analysis model defined by using Assign Crane Girder function. Back girder and back truss can be defined together when "Composite Crane Girder" is selected.

General Crane Girder : Crane girder modeled by beam. Single Runway Girder can be selected for sub-type when "General Crane Girder" is selected.

Define Crane Rail

Select Crane Girder : Crane rail can be defined by selecting crane girder.

In case of Double Runway Girder, click "Select Crane Girder(s) (Side A)" to define one side of crane runway then click "Select Crane Girder(s) (Side B)" to define the other side of crane girder

In case of Single Runway Girder, crane girders in one continuous line are selected.

2 Points Line : Select two points on line to define crane rail.

In case of Double Runway Girder, click "Select Point(s) (Side A)" to define one side of crane runway then click "Select Point(s) (Side A)" to define the other side of crane runway

In case of Single Runway Girder, crane girders in one continuous line are selected.

Define Back Girder & Truss

This option is activated when "Composite Crane Girder Type" is selected.

Select Back Girder(s) : Select member to define as Back Girder.

Selectable Object(s) : Beam

Select Back Truss(s) : Select member to define as Back Truss.

Selectable Object(s) : Brace

 

 Members defined as Back Girder and Back Truss will be included in the calculation of crane moving load analysis.

Define Support

Define support of Crane Girder and Back Girder. Moving load analysis results of crane will be converted into point load and apply onto defined support.

If 'Auto Search' is selected : Search support point of crane and back girder automatically.

If 'Auto Search' is unselected : Define support point of crane and back girder manually.

Select Point(s) (Side A) : Define support point of crane girder(Side A).

Select Point(s) (Side B) : Define support point of crane girder(Side B).

Type : Select support type.
