Select Shape(s) to Explode Select
shapes to be exploded. Level of Explosion Specify the Level of Explosion.
Sub Level Shapes This
option can be applied to compounds. It explodes
selected compounds into independent shapes, which are included in the
compounds. It explodes selected shapes into solids. This option is applicable on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the solid. Shell It explodes selected shapes into shells. This option is applicable on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the shell. Face It explodes selected shapes into faces. This option is applicable on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the face. Wire It explodes selected shapes into wires. This option is applicable on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the wire. Edge It explodes selected shapes into edges. This option is applicable on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the edge. Vertex It explodes
selected shapes into vertices. This option is applicable
on objects whose shape hierarchy is higher than the vertex. The above options are arranged in the descending order of explosion levels. That is, solids can be exploded into sub-level entities, which are shells, faces, wires, edges and vertices. A compound is a set of basic shapes.
