Extract

Function

Extract creates independent shapes by extracting selected sub-shapes (Solid, Shell, Face, Wire, Edge, Point) of objects.

Select Sub-Shape(s) to Extract

Select sub-shapes required to be extracted by changing the selection filter.

Allows the users to create surface only from a solid or 2D models.

Notes

When edges in an existing face are required, the face can be exploded into edges in which case the face is eliminated in the process.  On the other hand, the Extract command extracts the edges while maintaining the face intact.
