Modifier Feature: Draft

 

 

 

 

Function

 

Draft (rotate) faces of a Solid or Shell to revise its shape.  It tips (rotates) the selected faces by a specified Draft Angle relative to the normal direction of a Reference Plane (Datum Plane, Face, Edge).

 

 

 

 

 

Call

Geometry > Modifier Feature > Draft

 

 

 

 

<Draft>

Select Object Shape

Select a Shape (Solid, Shell) to be drafted.
 

Select Face to Draft

Select sub-faces to be drafted (rotated) from the selected object.
 

Reference Plane

Select a Reference Face, which will become the basis for Draft Angle.
 

Selected Surface

Select the Reference Plane (Datum Axis, Datum Plane, Face, Edge) directly
 
3-Pt Plane

Specify the Reference Plane using 3-Pt Plane. The coordinates of the 3 points may be specified using Snap.
 

Draft Angle

Specify a Draft (rotational) Angle.

 1. Select Object Shape.

2. Select Face to Draft.

3. Modify Selection Filter to Face (F).

4. Select Reference Plane.

5. Input 30 at Draft Angle.

6. Click [OK].
