Curve onto Face Project curves onto surfaces.
Select Target Surface(s) Select
Target Surfaces (Shell, Face) onto
which the curves will be projected Select
Tool Curves (Wire, Edge) that will
be projected onto the Target Surfaces.
Direction Select a Projection Direction (Datum Axis, Datum Plane, Face, Edge). Point Vector Select a direction of projection by a vector which is defined by two specified points. The coordinates of 2 points may be specified using Snap. Point on Curve(Ratio) Select a Point on the Curve. Projection takes place in the direction of the shortest path from the Point to the target shape Vertex Projection takes place in the direction of the shortest path from a selected Vertex to the target shape. Direction of Shortest Path Line Projection takes place in the direction of the shortest path from the Tool Shape to the Target Shape. |

Point onto Edge Project vertices onto Edges. They will be projected in a perpendicular direction to the Edge.

Nearest Only If a Target Shape is a shell or a curved surface,
it may be projected more than once since the program projects the Tool
shapes in the selected direction infinitely. This
option projects objects to the nearest target shape only once. Make Face The option automatically creates a shell connecting the projected shape and the original shape through a process similar to the Loft command. |

Notes |
No options exist here to project vertices and create straight lines. However, vertices can be imprinted while extending them with straight lines. |
