Mesh Set: Rename Mesh Set

Function

Rename Mesh Sets with a series of suffix in a defined order.

Call

Mesh > Mesh Set > Rename

<Rename Mesh Set>

Select Mesh Set

Select Mesh Sets (Mesh) that will be renamed.
 

Sorting Order

Specify the sorting order of renaming Mesh Sets.
 

Selection

Rename them by the order of selection. If multiple Mesh Sets are simultaneously selected by dragging the mouse, they will be renamed in random order.
Creation

Rename them by the order of creation.
Coordinate

Rename them by the coordinate system.

Csys

Select the coordinate system which are to be the renaming reference.

1st

Select the first Axis to be considered.
2nd

Select the second Axis to be considered when the selected Mesh Sets have the identical 1st Axis value.
3rd

Select the third Axis to be considered when the selected Mesh Sets have the identical 1st and 2nd Axis value.

Location along Vector

Define the sorting priority by a vector which is defined by two specified points. The coordinates of 2 points may be specified using Snap.
Base Point of Mesh Set(Bounding Box)

Specify the base point of Mesh Set which will be used to compare the renaming priority. For example, if it has been set to 'Center,' Mesh Sets will be sorted based on the center of their bounding boxes.
Order

Ascending

The suffix of Mesh Sets will be given in ascending order.
Descending

The suffix of Mesh Sets will be given in descending order.
 

Naming Rule

Specify new naming rule.
 

Name

Enter new name of Mesh Sets.
Starting Suffix Number

Enter the starting number of Suffix.

In case of renaming 3 Mesh Sets, if the naming rule is defined as Name = 'MA' and Starting Suffix Number = '4,' Mesh Sets will be given the following names, MA004, MA005, and MA006.
