Boundary: Ground Support

Function

Apply ground supports for 2D and 3D models automatically.  This function can only be applied to simple geometrical shapes with perpendicular corners.

Call

Model > Boundary > Ground Support

BC Set

Select a Boundary Set in which the specified boundary condition is included
Click on the right to prompt the Define Boundary Set dialog box to add, modify or delete Boundary Sets. If the user types the name of Boundary Set directly in the entry box, GTS will automatically create the relevant Boundary Set.

Select Mesh Set(s)

Select Mesh Sets which the Ground Supports will be applied

Consider All Mesh Set(s)

Check the option to determine whether to consider boundaries on neighboring Mesh Sets.

Note:  It is important to  confirm the boundary conditions have been applied visually.
