Element: Divide 3D

Function

Divide 3D elements (Face, Edge, Mesh, Element) using provided patterns or by specified number of divisions.

Call

 Model > Element > Divide 3D

<Divide 3D Element>

Select Element(s)

Select Hexahedral elements (Face, Edge, Mesh, Element) to be divided.
 

Divide by Pattern

It provides patterns which divides an element by. Red dots in the pattern figure represent Reference Node.
 

Select Reference Node(s)

Select Reference Node.
 

Divide by Number

Division along Axis 1

Specify the number of division on Axis 1.
 

Division along Axis 2

Specify the number of division on Axis 2.

Division along Axis 2

Specify the number of division on Axis 3.
 

Axis Direction

Choose a method of defining Axis 1 and Axis 2 of selected elements. It can be determined by following 3 methods.

Element Csys

It uses x, y-axis of element coordinate system as Axis 1 and Axis 2.

Coordinate Axis

Assign a reference coordinate system.

CSys

Select a coordinate system.

Axis 1

Select an axis to be used as Axis 1.

Axis 2

Select an axis to be used as Axis 2.

Location along Vector

It uses the direction of a vector as Axis 1.

Origin

Enter the origin of defining vector.

Pnt on Axis 1

Enter the end point of Vector 1.

Pnt on Axis 2

Enter the end point of Vector 2.
