From Shape The
Extract Shape function is capable of creating elements simply by selecting
either an edge or face from only geometric shapes. Note,
prior to extraction, a mesh set must be generated for the corresponding
geometric shape. Edge Edges
must be selected directly from the geometry. Note,
the geometry must be meshed prior to extraction. Faces must be selected directly from the geometry. Note, the geometry must be meshed prior to extraction.
Skip Duplicated Faces Duplicates faces in the geometric form will be ignored if this option is selected.
From Nodes Select Nodes Extract
mesh from nodes (Mesh, Node) which
belong to Free Edges or Free Faces. Select elements that will be used in Extraction. Only nodes that belong to the base nodes will be extracted. Type Select an element type to be extracted.
1D Element form Free-Edge Extract
1D mesh from Free Edge. Extract
2D mesh from Free Face.
Register Based on Object Shape When
extracting meshes from more than one entities (including sub-Shapes) in
a Shape, this option registers Mesh Sets based on the entities. For example,
when 3 Faces of 1 Solid are extracted, 3 Mesh Sets will be created for
each face. Register Based on Owner Face When extracting meshes from more than one Shape, this option registers Mesh Sets based on the Shapes. For example, when 8 Faces from 2 Solids are extracted, 2 Mesh Sets will be created for each Solid. Register Based on Owner Mesh Set When extracting meshes from more than one existing Mesh Sets, this option registers Mesh Sets based on the Owner Mesh Sets.
Separate a Parabolic Tria into Linear Trias This option extracts low order elements from high order elements.
