<Smooth Element> |
Select Element(s) Select
elements (Face, Mesh,
Element) to be smoothed. 2D Perform smoothing on 2D elements.
3D Perform smoothing on 3D elements.
Smoothing Parameters Coordinate-Laplacian Use
Laplacian Smoothing method. Laplacian Smoothing method moves a node to
the center of all connecting nodes. This is the most generalized method,
and very effective where element size varies radically. Use
Winslow Smoothing method. Winslow Smoothing method moves a node to the
centroid of all mother elements. Enter
the number of Smoothing operation. In most cases, 3 iterations are sufficient. Select nodes which will not be moved.
Keep Geometric Boundary This
option does not allow nodes on geometric boundary to be moved Density-weighted Smoothing This
option performs Smoothing with density-weighted factor. The result mesh
is similar to the Winslow method Quality-constrained Smoothing This
option compares element quality before and after smoothing. If element
quality drops after smoothing, it will not move nodes. This is only applicable
in 2D. Geometry-constrained Smoothing This
option constraints nodal movement which must stay within the tolerance
from selected Face. This is only applicable in 2D. Select Base Face Select
the Base Face. Enter the Tolerance.
