ERROR [2111]: SCALAR MASS CANNOT BE DESIGNATED TO ROTATIONAL INERTIA IN EXPLICIT DYNAMIC ANALYSIS

Cause

This error is generated when the inertia for rotational DOFs is entered using a scalar mass element.

Remedy

Since scalar mass cannot be applied to rotational DOFs, enter the mass matrix using concentrated mass elements and constrain the unused DOFs.
