Element Convection Boundary

In the heat of hydration analysis, the restrictions applied to the stress analysis model are convection limit, adiabatic limit, and prescribed temperature limit. Convection limit (or heat transfer limit) is the limit at which heat is transferred between ambient and temperature analysis model. Define conditions of the convection limit by assigning the convection coefficient and the ambient temperature. |

Selection The convection boundary condition is specified with respect to the surface of solid elements. Specify the face of the selected solid elements by the following: Face#: Select the (surface) face number and specify the elements to select the element surface. The (surface) face # of the selected solid elements is determined by the order in which the elements are generated. The selection is highlighted on the model, which allows us to ensure that the current selection is correct. By Selected Nodes: Select the face of the solid elements, which is defined by user-defined nodes. |
