ID: Material number
Name: Material name
Type: Material type
Code: Standard material specifications
Code Name: Specific material specifications
Elasticity (Force/Area): Modulus of Elasticity
Poisson: Poisson's ratio
Thermal(1/[T] ): Thermal expansion coefficient
Density (Force/Length3): Weight per unit volume
Sp. Heat (BTU/Force·[T] ): The ratio of thermal energy required to raise the temperature of a body 1° to the thermal energy required to raise an equal mass of water 1°
Heat Conduction (BTU/Length·Time·[T]: Conduction Coefficient
The property of a material to conduct heat in the form of thermal energy.
Conduction is the process by which heat flows within a medium or between different mediums in direct contact. The energy is transmitted by molecular communication.
Material Type: Select Isotropic or Orthotropic material type.
Note1
If SRC materials are entered, RC data are saved in the Code2 and Code Name 2 fields.
Note2
When Orthotropic is selected as User Defined material type, (Shear Mod_xy,
_yz, _xz), (Elastic_y, Elastic_z), (Poission_xy, Poassion_yz) and (Thermal_y,
Thermal_z) can be separately defined in y & z direction of Element
Coordinate System.
