Create Line(s) of the edge type for geometry modeling. Structural Properties can be assigned to Line(s) from which 1D mesh can be generated. After the generation of mesh, Loads/Boundaries can be assigned to Line(s), which are applied to Nodes/Elements. Applicable Modules:

From the Main Menu,
select Geometry
> Create > Line From the Command Line, type 'Line' or 'L' | ||||||

The start and the end coordinates of a Line can be entered as follows: LINE Specify first point: Select the start point or enter the coordinates. Specify next point or [Undo]: Select the next point or enter the coordinates. Enter U to cancel the previous command. Specify next point or [Close/Undo]: The [Close] command becomes activated after 2 or more segments have been entered. Enter C to terminate the command after automatically creating a Line to the first point.
